Is Your Valentine’s Day Flower Bouquet Poisonous to Your Fur Baby?

February 12, 2017 Danver

Are you sending or receiving flowers to someone with cats or dogs? If so make sure that your bouquet is pet-friendly! Our pets have more enhanced scent-finders, aka, noses than us and the aroma that flowers bring might entice them to take a closer whiff and lead to some serious health complications.

When you talk to your florist, be sure to mention that you want pet-friendly plants, or bring in the list of plants you want to absolutely avoid!

To view the full comprehensive list of plants to avoid, please visit the ASPCA website here!
