The Kuddly Crew arrived in Las Vegas March 5-9 and held a booth continuing to promote our app alongside Dr. Lucy O’Byrne, and CoFounder Josh Hong. For this event, our focus was on meeting great companies, their products, and for me, the free ice cream and cookies in the break room.

Founded by the late Dr. Sophia Yin, Cattledog Publishing continues to work to provide quality handling information to veterinarians and vet techs. In a brief interview with Cattledog Publishing I was amazed that from the education materials created by Dr. Sophia Yin, vet technicians who’d applied her methods were less likely to actually get bit/nipped by animals during office visits. For veterinarians the low stress handling technique is helping pave the way to fewer and fewer bites/nips of vet techs!
Avian & Exotic Animal Clinic Path Labs
I met Rose, a fiery woman, in charge of the lab. She’d been through quite a bit, and you could tell. Cheery, cheerful, and the advocate for a species neglected in our dog and cat dominant society. She looks at cells under microscopes for a LONG TIME. She’s looking in ways that larger corporations are just not able to do. And she’s finding things, pathogens and whatnot, that are missed at times. She expressed to me her mantra: “I always say three things to people: know your pet, know your vet, and know your vet’s lab!”
Rauhaus & Freedenfeld Architects
If you’re in the market for building a clinic, I have to tell you that I had an phenomenal interview with the most decorated vet clinic and animal facility architects in the USA, Warren and Richard! A comical East meets West, yet the fusion of their work is not only breathtaking but truly a masterpiece. They studied the nuanced experiences of animals visiting clinics and created more peaceful experiences for pets. They said “no!” to corners, and created curves. They add fishbowls for cats, and views of the outdoors. Every detail, carefully considered. See for yourself below!
